11Kits User Guide: Coach Instructions

As a coach in 11Kits, your device serves as the master time and data authority for your team. Below are the complete operational workflows for setting up your team, managing pre-match preparations, and running live match-day telemetry.

Phase 1: Account Setup & Team Creation

1. Sign In / Registration: Open the app and select the Coach role from the unified entry screen. Enter your email address to receive a secure, passwordless 6-digit verification code. Enter the code to log in.
   Note: If this is your first time logging in, an account is automatically provisioned for you. Accept the initial terms of service and privacy consent prompt.
2. Create Your Team & Share Access: Navigate to the team hub. Tap Create Team, enter your team's name, and save. This generates your unique Team Code. Share this code with parents and supporters so they can connect and follow your team.
3. Build Your Master Roster & Formations: Tap Manage Players to add your players (First Name, Last Initial, Jersey Number). Set up your Master Lineups across your preferred formations (e.g., 4-3-3, 4-4-2) to inherit seamlessly across matches.

Phase 2: Game Scheduling & Match Prep

1. Schedule a New Game: Create a new game entry by entering the opponent name, game date, and time. Newly created games default to a SCHEDULED status, allowing you to build your entire season ahead of time.
2. The Pre-Match Waiting Room: On match day, tap the scheduled game from your list to open the pre-match hub where the scorecard, lineups, and start controls live.
   • Assign Sideline Staff: Review the list of verified team followers in the pre-match staff section. Check the boxes next to the parent volunteers present at the field today to grant them active tracking permissions for this specific game.
   • Timekeeper Delegation: Optionally toggle master clock control to hand off official match timekeeping to an authorized staff member's device.
   • Go Live: When you are ready, tap START MATCH to push the game live and sync permissions instantly across connected devices.

Phase 3: Live Match-Day Operations (The Sideline Dashboard)

1. Master Clock Management: Control regulation time, halves, and pauses using the master clock interface (unless delegated to a staff timekeeper via the pre-match hub).
2. Collaborative Data Logging: With multiple parent volunteers assigned to staff roles for this match, stat tracking is distributed. While you coach, your staff members can simultaneously log spatial events (shots, goals, and substitutions) on their devices, syncing seamlessly back to your master feed in real time.
